1.Operate Motorola VHF and Codan HF radio systems, email, Thuraya, mobile phone and internal phone systems; in English and local languages,
2.Log all communications neatly and accurately,
3.Maintain location boards tracking NRC staff and vehicles,
4.Alert security managers to important events, from monitoring internet, TV and radio news in English and Persian, as well as via security alert systems,
5.Control keys to all office spaces in off duty hours,
6.Other duties will be described in the Terms of Reference.
Qualifications required: 1.High Standard English, spoken and written, understanding must be excellent.
2.Good knowledge of Kabul City, and the provinces of Afghanistan, ability to read and interpret maps.
3.Able to structure his or her thoughts and make an accurate and complete summary of a situation, under time pressure, at any time of day or night.
4.Must display intelligent ability to arrange vehicle moves to make best use of available assets and time.
5.High attention to detail and ability to neatly complete assigned paper work.
6.Honest and trustworthy. Any misrepresentations or inconsistencies on CV will disqualify applicant immediately.
7.To be short listed, applicants will require a reference from one English speaking expatriate former supervisor or acquaintance, with a current email address contact, who would be prepared to discuss the candidate with NRC security managers.
Contract Details: Duration: 5 Months(extensible) Start Date: August
